Nomori

Nomori ("we", "our") is published by OOTSSU (bundle ID: com.ootssu.nomori). This policy describes what data Nomori collects, why, and how to remove it.

What we collect

• Solve history and stats (puzzle ID, date, completion time, hint count) — stored locally on your device (SwiftData on iOS, Room on Android). This data never leaves your device.
• Daily puzzle request (iOS only) — the iOS app fetches today's puzzle from our Supabase backend using an anonymous public API key. No user ID or device identifier is transmitted. The Android app generates the same puzzle on your device from the date alone and contacts no server for it.
• Crosspromo app list (iOS only) — the iOS app fetches the public list of ootssu apps from our Supabase backend and retrieves app icons via Apple's public iTunes Lookup API (itunes.apple.com/lookup). No personally identifying data leaves your device in connection with this feature. On Android the same card simply opens ootssu.com/apps in your browser.
• Purchase status (Nomori Pro only) — when you buy or restore Nomori Pro, RevenueCat records the store transaction (App Store on iOS, Google Play on Android) against an anonymous identifier it generates on your device. On Android this record includes your purchase history and that anonymous app identifier. We do not attach your name, email, Apple Account or Google Account to it, and Nomori never asks you to sign in.
• Anonymous Pro-screen counts (iOS and Android) — when you finish a puzzle, open the Nomori Pro screen, or start, finish, or cancel a purchase or restore, the app sends one short event to our Supabase database: its name (for example “paywall_shown”), the platform, the app version, and a few fixed values such as the puzzle type and size, which screen opened the Pro page, whether you already own Pro, and whether this is the first such event on this install. It contains no user ID, device ID, advertising ID, purchase token, or puzzle contents, and it is not linked to RevenueCat or to you. We use it only to count how many people see and use the Pro screen. We do not store your IP address with these events. Events are deleted automatically after 24 months. Debug and test builds send nothing.

What we do NOT collect

• No user accounts, no email address, no Sign In with Apple, no Google sign-in
• No payment or card details — Nomori Pro is a one-time purchase and the store handles the transaction (Apple on iOS, Google on Android); we never see your payment information
• No cross-device sync — your data lives only on your device
• No location data
• No camera or photo library access
• No contacts
• No advertising identifiers — no ATT prompt on iOS, and the Android build ships without the advertising-ID library
• No third-party analytics or crash-reporting SDKs (the only usage data is the anonymous Pro-screen count above, sent to our own database)

How we use your data

• Serving today's daily puzzle (anonymous, deterministic by date)
• Displaying the crosspromo card with other ootssu apps and their App Store icons (iOS only)

Third-party processors

We do not sell or share your data for advertising or marketing. The only external service contacts are:

• Supabase — daily puzzle distribution and public app registry on iOS (anon read-only), and the anonymous Pro-screen counts on iOS and Android (supabase.com)
• Apple iTunes Lookup API (iOS only) — public endpoint for fetching App Store app icons (no auth, no PII)
• RevenueCat — records and restores the Nomori Pro purchase against an anonymous identifier (revenuecat.com). Used only if you open the purchase screen or buy Nomori Pro.

Data removal

Nomori has no user accounts. Your puzzles, solve history and stats live only on your device — deleting the app permanently removes them, and we never receive them. The one exception is Nomori Pro: if you buy or restore it, RevenueCat keeps a purchase record against the anonymous identifier it generated on your device, so the unlock can be restored later. To have that record deleted, email ootssu@ootssu.com from any address and say you want your Nomori purchase data removed; we forward the request to RevenueCat and confirm when it is done. Deleting it also removes your ability to restore the purchase without buying again.

Tracking

Nomori does not track you across other apps or websites. No App Tracking Transparency prompt is shown on iOS, and the Android build does not read the advertising ID.

Children

Nomori is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
