Horangi

What Horangi collects

Horangi signs you in anonymously. There is no email, no name, and no account to create — the app holds a random identifier so your minutes follow you between sessions on the same device.

Your voice

While you are talking, your microphone audio is streamed to the AI service that powers the tiger so it can hear you and answer. We do not store your audio and we do not store the words you say. The transcript you see on screen lives only in that conversation and is gone when the session ends.

The AI service is OpenAI. Before your first call, Horangi asks for your permission to send your audio there, and you can turn it off at any time in Settings → Privacy (it then asks again before the next call). Besides the audio, OpenAI receives the name you chose in Settings, if any, so the tiger can call you by it. It does not receive the anonymous identifier. OpenAI processes this under its own terms and retention policy.

What our server keeps

Our server keeps the accounting it needs to sell minutes honestly:

• the anonymous identifier
• when a session started and ended, and how many seconds it used
• how many minutes you have left, and receipts for minutes you bought

This data is tied to the anonymous identifier, which means it is pseudonymised rather than anonymous — we cannot put a name to it, but it is linked to your install.

To keep the free trial fair, our server also keeps, for about a day, a count of free trials started from each network, keyed by a salted one-way hash of the IP address (the address itself is not stored), plus a note that an identifier has already received its trial.

What we do not do

No advertising SDKs. No tracking SDKs. No analytics profiles built from your conversations. We do not sell your data.

Settings shows a card that promotes our other apps. That is advertising for our own apps: its content is loaded from ootssu.com and no identifier is sent with that request.

Purchases

Subscriptions and minute packs are processed by Apple. We receive a purchase receipt through RevenueCat so we can credit your minutes. We never see your payment details.

Children

Horangi is not directed to children under 13.

Deleting your data

Open Settings → Privacy → Delete my data. This deletes, from our server, the minutes balance, purchase receipts and session records tied to this install, and the name saved on the device. Minutes you bought are not refunded, and subscriptions are billed by Apple, so cancel them in your Apple Account settings. The sign-in record (the anonymous identifier) is deleted as well, unless another OOTSSU app on the same service is still using it. The free-trial counters described above are kept, because they contain no conversation data and exist to stop the trial being claimed again. After deletion the app starts over with a new anonymous identifier.

Because there is no account, we cannot find your records from an email address — the in-app button is the reliable way. Deleting the app stops any further collection.
